After the foundation is poured, it is time to construct the floor frame and finish with its deck. There are a number of areas in which to save money during the construction of a shed, but like the foundation, the floor is not one of them. The last thing a homeowner needs to worry about is falling through a spongy floor that was constructed with sub-par materials, much less being liable should someone else fall.
When you cut, or order firewood, you should make sure that it is the proper size to fit into the stove or fireplace. The second place it should fit is into the firewood shed in a way so that it can be easily stacked. Since a cord of wood is 4 ft by 4 ft by 8 ft and this is the quantity that firewood is usually purchased in it makes sense that the firewood shed plans you purchase will be this size or larger. By having the wood cut to 16 long lengths you will be able to have three rows stacked inside the shed.
Metal sheds are gaining more popularity. Here at Steel Buildings Direct, we specialise in metal structures of all sizes from industrial warehouses right the way down to large garden sheds. We use steel because its often far more suited to outdoor structures.
