As we climbed into the mountains, a gray wolf sauntered across the rode. We stopped for him and he paid no attention to us but it brought out some of my dad's wolf stories when he was a kid living at Sage Creek in Rich County, Utah (named after my great uncle) sledding his sisters to the school house wolves following hoping that one of horses pulling the sleigh would fall and break a leg. Dad carried a 30-06 rifle but the wolves never bothered them, just my grandfather's cattle.
Barn Sheds: These traditional sheds are one of the most sought-after shed designs. Barn sheds offer a great storage space for tools, lawn supplies and nearly every other thing you can think of. They can include double or single doors as well as a gable or gambrel style roof with a loft.
Thieves will target sheds made of flimsy materials. In most cases, wooden sheds can be easier to break into. Even with a lock, panels may be flimsy enough to be kicked down. Compare this to a steel shed and a burglar is clearly going to have a harder time breaking in. Having one may be enough to deter a thief, prompting them to move onto the next target.
Stacking the firewood so that there are air gaps between the pieces of wood is not something that is controlled by the shed but it is important to note when discussing firewood sheds. Once the air gets into the shed it is important that it can move through the wood pile and not just around it.
